Where to find us
The Information Centre is open from 9.30am till 5pm Monday to Saturdays and from 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
There is parking, public toilets and a warm welcome awaiting you. The Tourist Information Centre offers a full information service and can provide you with all you need to know during your visit to not only Welshpool and surrounding areas but Wales and beyond.
Bed booking service
If you are looking for accommodation locally or nationally then let our expert staff do the leg work. For a nominal fee they will find you the perfect place to stay from our Visit Wales approved providers. Their expert local acknowledge can save you many a headache.
We are agents for: Owen's Travelmaster, Sabrina, Celtic Travel and Tanat Valley Coaches. Peruse their brochures over a cup of coffee or tea and book a national day trip or a few days away in the UK or Europe.
Ordnance Survey Mapping Centre
Need location plans or site maps for planning applications, etc. Let our fully trained staff get the right map for you.
Event leaflets and destination brochures
We have many free leaflets and brochures for attractions and events both local and nationally.
Local information and a lot more besides
Our staff are a mine of local information and often know where those hidden places are. We stock a range of local guide books, walking books, Ordnance Survey Land Ranger and Explorer maps, local history books and Montgomeryshire Parish Records.
Pick up the local bus and train timetables or book a journey with National Express.
Enjoy coffees, teas and refreshments including a range of delicious homemade traditional Welsh cakes, when available. Why not take a taste of Wales home for a loved one.
Gifts and souvenirs
We have an extensive stock of gifts and souvenirs for all including many local crafts and goods.
We are agents for Montgomeryshire Angling Association permits. Unfortunately you will have to go to the Post Office for a rod licence but we can tell you where it is.
Bored or stressed then chill by the canal and feed the ducks - therapy for all ages.
Community Notice Board
There is a community notice board in the centre for local information.
There is a free display board for anyone wishing to have exhibition space. It can be used to advertise a special event, show school projects, display art work etc.
You can book your National Express tickets as well as purchase your concessionary cards for senior/disabled/young persons or family.
